MAJEK BOATS:
A legacy of legendary handcrafted quality.
Majek Boats were born out of necessity and a bit of frustration. The
year was 1982 and commercial fisherman John Majek was fed up with having
to constantly replace the boats he used to fish the rough bays and
shallow waters near Corpus Christi.
He decided to take matters into his own hands, literally, and hand-make
the ultimate bay boat. One that would outperform anything he could buy.
One that would get him into and out of the skinniest water the Gulf
Coast could throw at him. One that would hold up through years of hard
running. What he created was not a boat but a legend. Over 25 years
later, the legacy of the handcrafted Majek boat continues with sons
Johnny and Jimmy Majek at the helm.
Johnny: “Most boat companies call themselves manufacturers. We
still think of ourselves as boat builders because we still craft every
boat by hand. One at a time. All our boats have 100% hand-laid hulls and
carry a 5 year warranty on defects. Hand laid may not be the most
efficient method to build a boat, buts it’s definitely the best way to
get unmatched strength and quality.”
Jimmy: “Today, we’ve expanded to three models of Majek Boats: the
original fl at-bottom Redfish series, the V-hull Xtreme and the
legendary Illusion hybrid.”
Johnny: “Our boats are built to handle some of the harshest and
shallowest South Texas waters. We spend countless hours building molds
and conducting research to build our boats second to none. We pay very
close attention to the details. The details are what set us apart from
the rest.”
Jimmy: “We don’t pay professional anglers to run our boats. In
fact, the major fishing tournaments held on the Gulf Coast are sponsored
by manufacturers of other boats but most of the winner’s fish out of
Majek boats anyway. Why? Because they want the best edge they can
possibly get.”
Johnny: “Guys who know boats know Majek. We may not get the first
time buyer all the time. But when a guy is buying his second or third
boat, he knows what he wants and what he doesn’t want to put up with
anymore. That’s when he buys a Majek.”

professional and recreational anglers. We've been building boats
here in Corpus Christi, Texas for 25 years. We take pride in
building our line of boats and feel we have designed a boat for every
angler out there. Our boats are built to handle some of the
